Receive all scratches for scratch time approval. Research and provide copies of drug classification, recommended penalty, trainer’s ruling history and split sample protocols to state stewards and trainer of horse with alleged positive test. Draft and/or edit Stewards’ notifications, protocols and recommended rule changes. Issue rulings on all racing matters during the racing season. Preside at hearings and the drawing of entries. Make decisions regarding possible rule infractions. Work in conjunction with the State Stewards (Commission).
